anytime n enjoy whts being transmitted but the problem is its quality on a radio
around kotebe is very low n can only listen on live stream, so cud u guys do try

Dear producer of Sheger Sport,

I just listened to a heart breaking interview of
Athlete Miruts Yifter, who is languishing in poverty (Sheger Sport -July 6,
2012) and is barely surviving on his pension. I can imagine how painful it is
for him to discuss his dire financial situation in public and beg for help.

I
am glad that some individuals are organizing a fundraiser for him on their own
initiative, but I can't stop wondering if wealthy athletes like Haile
Gebresselassie and Kenenisa Bekele will step up to the plate and help this hero
who was an inspiration and pride to them and many other Ethiopians for the last
40 years. As important as a fundraiser is, finding him a job is equally
important so that he has a steady income, since any money raised through a
fundraiser would ultimately be depleted and Miruts might himself back to square
one.

I hope all of us who have known Miruts or heard of his exploits at the

I read the poems in Menta Menged and found the pieces therein
strickingly philosophical. I particularly liked such pieces as shekla, wonber,
bayfeter, telat, gizie, lezemenm hawult, etc. the pieces are full of life and
ceartivity.

I am not fortunate to hear the Book Review interview titled "Menta
Menged"- the English equivalent of "Dilemma" of March 9th with Mr.
Mussie Delelegn. I read the book, which contains more than 100 pomes. I know him
in depth for his professional analysis and studies in national and international
economics, but not as poems writer. I was speechless when I read his book; I
admired his observation and expression about the social, economical and
political issues. This is a ringing bell for other Ethiopian Diplomats and
X-Diplomats from all avenues to share their views and exposure from their dairy/
agenda book. I am willing to pay if you can send a copy of the March 9, 2012
book review discussion with Mr. Mussie. How can we listen your archive or live
program? You may have so many interesting and entertaining programs just like
“YENE ADDISU BETESEB “ of the old time Monday morning Ethiopian Radio
broadcasting .

I have read Mussie’s book with interest but not lucky enough to listen to his
interview. His deep poems that touch every facet of life have triggered a lot of
questions in me. I thought I might get the answers from his interview that I
missed and I was waiting if Sheger could run it again. Unfortunately it was
waiting in vain.

I’m wondering if Sheger has already uploaded the interview
in this website or elsewhere.

Would be grateful to get a link to it or any

As a natural science student, I alo had the opportunity to interact with
Mussie Delelegn. I remember his laughter and marked smile. I used
to like his personality and imposing charisma. Above all his human
touch was unbelievably unforgettable.
I wish him well but I missed
his interview or discussion on Sheger. Was it about a book? What book
was it? Did he write a book?

sheger fm is the best that i can shout out loud sayn dat there aint no
channel that rocks like sheger fm in this country. hell to 9...s.
all talkin abt "akaki kifle ketema, gulele kifle ketema" and

specialy the "were(zena)" part is so awesome. i wonder if all
the journalists are trained to read in that same way. i have never in ma
